The Seifert

Seifert Model with Electric Options

The Seifert is the culmination of several years working with the ergonomic and performance needs of Stephen Seifert and other artists. The main body of the dulcimer is the same as the Traditional model other than it is standard with a flush/rounded edge for the top and back. This is a bit more comfortable for those that play with the dulcimer up on edge and gives it a more modern appearance.

The primary changes with The Seifert are the fretboard, peghead, and low noise, high performance acoustic-electric options. Details of each of these enhancements are in the links below. Stephen very much prefers the voice of the 25.8” VSL. Other VSL options are listed below, but in order for the instrument to have the Seifert stamp, it must have the 25.8” VSL. He feels that strongly about it.
