Bridge Pickup with Preamp

Each string has its own piezo pickup that sits in an adjustable saddle. The saddle can be adjusted forward and backward to set intonation. The action is set by placing precision cut shims under the saddle. The dulcimer comes with an hex wrench and shim kit in case different string setup is desired in the future. The side mounted controls include volume and tone adjust. The battery access is on the back. Power is turned on when a cable is plugged into the 1/4” jack. Battery life is approximately 500 hours. The preamp has some eq that enhances the acoustic sound of the pickup. theses pickups and preamp have a great sound and they do not pick up bumps to the top of the instrument like most piezo installations.

With this type pickup, you may select 3 string or 4 equidistant spacing (no double melody) The 3 string version can be configured with the strings parallel or with the strings tapering to closer spacing at the bridge as championed by Aaron O’Rourke and endorsed by Stephen.
